POWER OF ATTORNEY

1. What is a Power of Attorney?

A legal document that allows one party to designate another party to act on behalf of the party creating the document. A Power of Attorney can be very general or strictly limited.

2. Why can't I just use a form?

You can, but there are many pitfalls. First of all, a power of attorney is a very powerful tool, which can be misused. Depending on your situation, you may wish to have one designed for your particular needs.

3. Why is a Power of Attorney needed?

There are many circumstances which make a Power of Attorney a good idea. It can be to authorize the sale of a car, or to allow a relative to handle all of the financial affairs of a loved one.
